In 1991, sisters Bettye Barrios and Anne Barrios Gauthier opened Aux Belles Choses on Magazine Street in New Orleans. After years of traveling and shopping in Europe, they finally ran out of space to put anything else in their own homes! Their philosophy is still--buy what you love. This includes a wide variety of hand picked European and European-inspired items for the home.

The shop has been featured in such national magazines as Food and Wine, Country Home, Domino and Better Homes and Gardens Decorating, and included in many lists of the best places to shop in New Orleans.
